July 3-7, Nantes (France)
Posters and Demos

Schedule

Posters will be displayed during the whole conference. Special poster sessions are planned on tuesday (July, 4th) between 18:30 and 20:00, as well as on thursday (July, 6th) between 15:00 and 16:00.

Call for Posters

ECOOP 2006 is pleased to offer a number of opportunities for posters presenting research projects and ongoing work. Posters are especially useful for advertising new national or international projects (e.g. EU networks) and for presenting new ideas that have not yet been developed to the point of a regular paper. PhD students in particular are encouraged to submit a poster proposal describing their work.

Each submission will be evaluated based on its relevance to ECOOP and its significance (see the Call for Papers for an open list of topics).

Poster sessions will take place during the main three days of the conference (Wednesday 5th - Friday 7th July).

Submission Guidelines

A poster submission should include a short description of the poster content suitable for evaluation and a one paragraph summary (from 70 to 150 words) of the poster suitable for inclusion in the conference guide. It should be written in English, and be not longer than 2 pages. It should be submitted as a pdf or postscript file via email to the following address: posters-ecoop...please ignore this...@emn.fr

Important Dates

The initial deadline for poster proposals is May 5th. Requests received by that date will be responded to May 15th, before the early registration deadline.

Call for Demonstrations

ECOOP 2006 is offering a number of opportunities for demonstrations of research and production systems during the conference.

ECOOP 2006 will host demonstrations of research prototypes and similar software systems. We can also host demonstrations of open source software products aimed at academic or industrial audiences. Demonstrations of commercial products are also possible, although opportunities for such demonstrations are preferentially offered to sponsors of the conference.

Demonstrations will be selected on the basis of technical merit, novelty and relevance to the topics of the conference, and also feasibility of presentation (see the Call for Papers for an open list of topics). Please note that product marketing or sales presentations are inappropriate for this forum.

Demonstrations will take place during the main three days of the conference (Wednesday 5th - Friday 7th July).

Submission Guidelines

To submit a demonstration, please email a one page textual outline, or 1-2 page outline with figures, to the demonstrations chairs : demos-ecoop...please ignore this...@emn.fr

You must also indicate the type of demonstration: research prototype, open source software system, commercial product, other (please explain).

Accepted demonstrations will be required to provide a brief (200-400 word) textual description of the demo for the conference guide.

Important Dates

The initial deadline for demonstration proposals is May 5th. Requests received by that date will be responded to May 15th, before the early registration deadline. Thereafter, calls will still be accepted until such time as all slots are filled.
